PLAYSTATION 3 Holiday campaign launches with a series of 3 :15 second TV spots. Each TV spot hints to what is come for the bigger campaign that will launch on 11/21.

This is to promote the Sony playstation games console though the Christmas holiday season of 2009 promoting big exclusive games such as Little Big Planet.

The PS3 shifted 2.43 million consoles throughout the period, according to freshly-published Q2 FY 2008 figures - nearly double that for the same stretch last year.

This puts Sony ahead of Microsoft, which recently told AFP the 360 shifted 2.2 million units for the same period.

Ps3’s are selling big time in 2008 mainly because of the great games it offers, with the littlebigplanet being one of the titles which is exclusive to the Playstation 3 console, we’re all expecting the sony playstation 3 to sell a lot more in the future!

It is the best and the most modern home entertainment available today and very good value for money. Of course there are many types of PlayStation consoles and the PlayStation 3 with its 80GB hard drive is the best option that you can have.

There are many advantages of the PlayStation 3 with an 80 GB hard drive. All your entertainment and gaming needs can be stored in it comfortably. Besides, you can get free membership for playing games online. It enables you to download many games and communicate with your friends through it as well.

The stylish design of the PlayStation 3 is its most attractive feature. Some of its major advantages are its silent and speedy operation, high definition games and easy interface. It is also capable of playing Blu-ray movies in high definition.

But there are some disadvantages if you own the PlayStation 3 with an 80 GB hard drive. The number of games that you can play and the options available are quite limited. You have to use software if you require backward compatibility. In spite of these disadvantages its feature of huge hard disk storage cannot be overlooked. Also you can play the games of the older PlayStation 2 on it. Hence it is definitely better to be playing on the PlayStation 3 than on a cheaper version. You just have to wait some time before you can buy some of the new titles at retail stores, but that is only a small drawback.

The PlayStation 3 has not been selling well mainly because of the limited number of games which one can play on it. It would have otherwise been one of the best buys in the market. The only games that you can play on it are Resistance: Fall of Man and War Hawk and Heavenly Sword. Of course it is good fun to play the third-party games like Call of Duty-4 and Assassin’s Creed on it.

The most important thing for you to remember is that with five hundred dollars you can buy a PlayStation 3 with an 80 GB hard drive, though you will be restricted to playing only a few games. But it doubles up as a computer as well, so it is a model worth considering.
