Unnoficial early sales figures of Killzone 2 show that it may not live up to the hype.
The numbers show it as only the 3rd fastest selling Ps3 games, trailing behind GTA4 and Metal Gear Solid 4, selling aproximatley 750,000 copies since its release. This could prove a lot of people that expected this game to blow other consoles out of the water badly wrong.
Also with Microsofts claim that they have something “better than killzone 2″ up their sleeve, Sony will have to dig deep if they want to rule supreme as the best of the consoles.
Killzone 2, is already one of the most highly anticipated games coming to the Ps3. if that wasnt enough, Sony have now announced that the newly released trailer will be available in a playable form sometime next month.
Sony’s Scott Steinberg says: “The idea for the commercial centred on telling the story of war on Helghan – up close and very personal and to use the game’s engine to show it. No voodoo, no heavy metal soundtrack: just the true representation of the in-game graphics, The team at Guerrilla embraced the concept and we were on a production rollercoaster ride that produced a piece that will be broadcasted across several networks starting tomorrow.”
“To offer you some insight into the technology behind this game, we will release a playable version of this in-engine ad vignette on the PlayStation Network coming in March. You’ll be able to control the camera and hear director commentary on how the production was completed using only the game’s technology.”
Killzone 2 is out next friday, heres the Trailer song are making such a fuss about:
Halo 3 is still one of the most widely played online games in the Xbox 360 market. One of the key reasons for this is its as yet unrivalled Matchmaking system. the system is very well refined and allows gamers to get into an online game with all of their freinds in no time.
Seb Downie was asked about Killzone 2’s online matchmaking system and what gamers can expect.
he hinted towards something being in the works regarding this subject
Downie said: “We have a couple of secrets still to announce which will cover your question, so I’ll leave that one open til the new version of the site goes live.”
